In Full View of the Lord: The Call to Authentic Christian Living

Image
“Your ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all your paths.” (Proverbs 5:21) In a person’s life, nothing can be hidden from God. He sees everything. He sees your heart, motives, thoughts, behaviour, and every decision you make. So often, we deceive ourselves into thinking that we can do something and still keep it hidden. And yet we forget the truth in Proverbs 5:21. “ Your ways are in full view of the Lord, and He examines all your paths. ” The verse calls us to live a life of integrity, being fully aware of God’s watchful eye and accountability to God. What you do in secret matters just as much as what you do in public. So often, people seem to present a different version of themselves when in public. They appear loving, sincere, respectable, successful, or holy. But in reality, they mask greed, corruption, arrogance, pride, and envy. This is exactly what Jesus was talking about in the Gospel of Luke: “ There is nothing concealed that will not be disclose...

Trusting God One Day at a Time

“Give us each day our daily bread.” (Luke 11:3) Jesus teaches us a simple yet powerful way to pray. When He says, “Give us each day our daily bread,” He invites us to depend on God for our needs—both practical and spiritual. The Lord’s Prayer begins with, “Our Father.” This reminds us that God is not distant. He is a loving Father who knows and understands every need—your burdens, bills, decisions, peace, strength, and daily provision. Walking with God is a daily journey of dependence . Yet many times, we worry about tomorrow or the day after. We forget Jesus’ teaching: “Do not worry about tomorrow.” (Matthew 6:34) We see this clearly in Exodus 16. God provided manna one day at a time . When the Israelites tried to hoard it, it spoiled. The same happens when we try to solve life in our own strength—worry grows, frustration rises, and bitterness develops. Jesus reminds us: “…apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5) Just as branches rely on the vine for life, we rely...

The Storm Isn’t the Problem—Losing Sight of Jesus Is

Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” There comes a time in life when you may feel shaken, confused, overwhelmed, disappointed, or discouraged by the circumstances around you. The situation may look bigger, greater, or impossible for you to overcome. In such moments of uncertainty, the word of God in Isaiah 41:10 speaks directly to our hearts. God begins by dispelling fear and worry: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God.” In the midst of trouble, His words not only command us not to fear but also remind us of this unchanging truth: I am with you. You are not walking alone. God’s presence becomes your strength, courage, and hope. We see this in Joseph’s life. Even in his lowest moments, Scripture says, “The Lord was with Joseph” (Genesis 39:2). You too may be going through a difficult season, wi...

Gratitude: The Magnet of God’s Goodness

Image
In life, we all go through difficult seasons. During such moments, it becomes easy to let discouragement, fear, anxiety, frustration, and comparison slip into our hearts. When these emotions take root, they cloud our spiritual sight. They lock us out from clearly seeing, hearing, and sensing God’s presence in our lives. Psalm 100:4 encourages us to: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving…” This verse reminds us that gratitude is a key—one that opens the gates of heaven. Gratitude ushers us into God’s presence and clears our spiritual lenses. It enables us to recognize God’s hand even in the midst of crisis and challenges. Just as magnets attract iron, gratitude draws our hearts into an awareness of God’s goodness, faithfulness, protection, and unending love. It helps us hold firmly to God’s truth and promises, even when life feels uncertain. “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5) As we enter His courts with thanksgiving, gratitude also locks out certain th...

The Key of Gratitude: Opening Heaven’s Gates

“Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.” — Psalm 100:4 Gratitude is more than simply saying “Thank You” to God. It is a posture of the heart, a spiritual perspective, and a discipline that shapes our walk with Him. It goes beyond quiet whispers. In the spiritual realm, gratitude makes movement—gates shift, doors open, and heaven notices thanksgiving wrapped in faith. Consider a large, heavy gate: massive, intimidating, difficult to move. Yet a small key unlocks it effortlessly. Gratitude works the same way. It may appear small, insignificant, or unnoticed, but in the spiritual realm, it is unlocking gates and shifting atmospheres. Psalm 100:4 shows us the key that grants us access to God’s presence— gratitude . When the key of gratitude is turned, it unlocks God’s peace, joy, protection, guidance, and favour. But a key only works when it aligns perfectly with the lock. In the same way, our hearts must align with God’s will and truth. If you try to open your ...
