PSALM 31 | THE LORD SEES ME

There are seasons in life when struggles feel deeply isolating. In those moments, it may seem as though God is distant or that He has forgotten about you. But Scripture reminds us of a different reality.

“I will be glad and rejoice in your love,
for you saw my affliction
and knew the anguish of my soul.” – Psalm 31:7

These words are deeply personal. God sees you. He sees your pain, your disappointments, your failures, and even the burdens you carry in silence. Not only does He see your struggles—He understands them.

This verse reminds us that nothing escapes God’s attention. He is fully aware of both the outward challenges you face and the inner anguish you carry in your heart.

When you realize that the Almighty God sees you and understands your pain, your posture begins to change. Anxiety gives way to confidence, and worry begins to turn into rejoicing. That is why David declares:

“I will be glad and rejoice in your love.”

Psalm 31:7 is not only comforting—it is also inviting. It invites us to bring every burden, every fear, and every troubling thought before the Lord. Not because we are forced to, but because He understands our pain more deeply than anyone else.

And when we recognize His attentive love, our hearts naturally respond with gratitude.

Today, pray with confidence:

“Lord Jesus, thank You for seeing me, understanding my pain, and faithfully caring for me.”
