CAST IT, DON’T CARRY IT ALONE
Are you currently experiencing stress, pressure, or heavy responsibilities? How are you handling them?
In
difficult moments, we often build invisible walls around ourselves labeled “I’m
fine” or “I can handle it.” We convince ourselves that we are strong
enough to carry our burdens alone. But the truth is, we were never meant to.
Scripture
acknowledges that life can be overwhelming. That is why it calls us into a
posture of surrender and trust—bringing our anxieties, fears, and even our
weaknesses before God.
“Cast your cares on the Lord, and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous be shaken.”
Notice the
key words: cast, sustain, and shaken.
To cast means to release or throw completely. It is not holding back—it
is letting go fully.
Every time
we release our burdens—our stress, responsibilities, and pressures—into God’s
hands, He responds with His sustaining power. He strengthens us, gives us peace
of mind, provides for our needs, and upholds us through every situation.
Casting
your burdens on God is an act of trust. It means believing that He is able and
willing to take care of you.
This
scripture does not call us to carry everything by ourselves, but into a daily
partnership with God—inviting Him into every part of our lives. Not only the
big things, but even the small ones.
Today,
choose to trust Him.
With confidence, cast your cares upon the Lord.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, today I lay at Your feet everything that has been weighing on
me. Take control and lead me through it. Thank You for Your promise to sustain
me. Amen.
