New Beginnings

“Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” Luke 5:4

Today is a new beginning for you and me. A season to start afresh, an opportunity to rekindle the hope that we had lost, an opportunity to believe again and a time to take that first step of faith. Yesterday is gone, and there’s nothing we can do about it. The good news is we’ve got today, a new day to rejoice and be glad knowing that God is on the throne and in control of your life.

Often, we live in the past. We focus on the things we’ve lost, the struggles that hurt us, the opportunities we missed, and loses we incurred. Since you focus too much on the opportunities that you missed, you end up giving up on life. The previous season may have been hard, but that doesn’t mean you’ve reached the end of the road. There is more that God has for you which you haven’t seen or experienced yet.

Today, Jesus is encouraging each one of us to “Launch out into the deep.” Maybe you gave up because you have been trying to catch the fish on the shallow ends. Maybe you gave up on yourself because of what you’ve been told by experts, or maybe you gave up on trying because things seemed to be out of season. Do not be dismayed or discouraged. You got God’s permission to launch back into the deep. Everything may seem out of season, but it is God who controls the seasons. He is powerful to cause things to work for you even when it is off-season. He is not limited by seasons, time, and economy or by the opinions of experts. God’s power breaks boundaries.

Whatever things you had given up, remember you got God’s permission to launch out into the deep for a catch. Get into agreement with God; He’s got great things with your name on them. He’s got a purpose for you to fulfill, there are blessings which awaits you. Have this new expectation that things are going to work in your favor. You got the anointing and the permission from God to conquer new territories and achieve more than you can imagine.

God only tells you to launch out into the deep for a catch, when He’s got blessings prepared for you. Do not hesitate when God gives you permission to discover His goodness for your life. Sometimes we let our own experiences stop us from discovering the great things that God has for us. This is because you believed you can never rise any higher, you have locked yourself in a limitation box.

God’s ways of doing things are different from our ways. His ways are supernatural, it defies logic, and it doesn’t fit into our patterns. When God commands you to launch out into the deep, simply obey His voice rather than trying to reason with Him. Let God unlock your limitations, take a step of faith and get out of your comfort zone. Sometimes you must be ready to leave the shore and launch out into the deep to discover the great things that God has for you.

It is my prayers that you will start a new season of discovering God’s greatness by taking a step of faith and launch out into the deep. May you believe again, birth new hope within you, and let God bring down the walls of limitations that we have created in our minds. God has great things for each one of us, and we can only discover and acquire them when we take the step of faith and launch out into the deep. Be Blessed.

  “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. ” – Psalm 13:5 Psalm 13 is one of the shortest psalms of David, and yet a powerful one.
