God Loves You!
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have an everlasting life.” – John 3:16
You may have heard or seen how people express their love to one another to prove that they are loved. We know this kind of love as Eros. But there is another greater kind of love that God our Heavenly Father gives us. His kind of love is Agape. With Eros kind of love, people go great lengths to show and to prove their love for one another. However, this kind of love always fades away. But with God’s kind of love, it is everlasting. God’s love has no end.
God has proven to us how much He loves us in a greater way. He gave His only Son, Jesus, to die for our sins so that whoever believes in Him may have an everlasting life. God loves you so much, more than your mind can ever imagine. If you only knew how much God loves you, you wouldn’t feel sorry for yourself. You wouldn’t look down on yourself thinking that you are not enough. If you only knew how much God loves you, you wouldn’t believe the lies you’ve been told; that God has forsaken you. No. God loves you. And He will never forsake you. You are His priced possession. You are His beloved child. He calls you His own. At some point in life, people will put you down, talk negative about you, plan evil against you, judge you or belittle you. However, when you understand that God is your true friend who is always there besides you and loving you, when the rest of the world are trying to hurt you; you will never feel alone, afraid or worthless.
No matter the circumstance you may find yourself in, it can never separate you from the love of God. “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth or any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Roman 8:37-39. God’s love is a gift to all of us. A free gift that we need to accept and embrace it wholesomely.
When you know and understand of God’s great love for you in your life, the devil will have no room in you to convince you otherwise. God is love. And He loved us even before we loved Him. We live in a world that is hurting, a world full of hatred, and evil all around us. We need to accept the free gift of love that God has given us, and share it with the rest of the world. We have a responsibility to make the world a better place through God’s love.
“Though we may be imperfect, God loves us perfectly.”
