God is working something Good in You
“For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God.” – Hebrews 3:4
A Master builder is known to oversee a construction of a building. A master builder knows how best to construct a building, how high it should rise, the best materials to use, or how deep the foundation should go. He also puts into calculations other factors such as wind pressure, the environment suitable for the building, and the direction the building should face. And when he’s renovating, he knows which areas are the weakest, where to demolish and ways to develop an old house to become new and valuable.
In the same way, God is the Master Builder, and “you are God’s building” (1 Cor 3:9). Everything that concerns our lives, God knows. He knows our weakest areas, our thoughts, our future, our fears, our strengths, and areas that we struggle a lot when we face certain challenges. Nothing about our life is hidden from Him. As a Master Builder, God is working something good in both you and me.
As David said, “Search me, O God and know my heart; try me and know my anxieties, and see if there is any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting” (Psalm 139:23-24). We need to surrender to God the Master Builder and let Him work something good in us. He knows our imperfections, and the evil qualities that work against our spiritual growth.
Let the Master Builder chip away the guilt, malice, deceit, envy, hypocrisy, pain, shame, hurt, and the spirit of unforgiveness from our hearts. Let Him demolish the weak foundations that the world has built in our lives. The negative mindset, baseless beliefs, worldly pleasures and spirit of fear; these God must demolish in order to build our lives on a stronger foundation in Christ Jesus. When the foundation of our lives is solid rock, and built in Christ Jesus; no matter the circumstance that may come our way we will not be shaken.
The world may see you as a worthless stone, because of the numerous mistakes you have done in the past, because you can’t accomplish anything good or because you don’t fit into their structure; so, they reject you. Be encouraged, God sees you as a precious stone worthy of purpose, and worthy of being used for greater good. God has a plan and a future for you that fits you perfectly; you are the missing piece that the world needs. In God’s eyes, you are still precious; you are valuable, equipped, and a masterpiece. As Paul writes in Philippians 1:6, “He who begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Your journey to becoming who God destined you to be isn't over yet, God is still polishing you, developing and improving you so that His work may be perfect in you, something worthy of His Glory.
Be of good cheer as God is working something good in you. Let go of all that God is trying to demolish and let Him give you something better worth holding on. Hold on to Christ Jesus, He’s the foundation that your life needs to be built on. Show gratitude for every good work that God is working in you.
