God is always with you
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” – Psalm 23:4
Have you ever felt like you are walking through the valley of the shadow of death? Have the challenges that you face in life make you feel like you are all alone? Life has its own twists and turns; and there comes a time when the weight of our tribulations becomes unbearable. You may not see how you’ll get through it. While in the valley, the uncertainties of your future hits you hard, and other dangers continue lurk around you. In whatever circumstance you are in, be encouraged; you are not alone. God is right there with you in the valley protecting you, guiding you and sustaining you as you journey through the valley.
Psalm 23:4, encourages us to not be afraid when we face the challenges of life. The trials of life are known to push us down, discourage our hearts, and make us believe that we are alone. That you got no one else to walk with you through the trying moments. In one way or another, such difficult moments will definitely come our way. And the shadow of death, may come in different forms. Such as: illness, financial problems, depression, addictions, relationships problems or challenges raising a difficult child. When you face such challenges, be encouraged to always look up. Look up to God who is always there with you.
The purpose of the rod is to protect; and staff to lead. Instead of being discouraged, or being afraid of what may come against you; be comforted that God is protecting you and leading you through the valley to a better future. How comforting it is to know with certainty that God is actually protecting you and guiding you through the storm. After the storm, you will look back and realize that the storm you faced could have finished you but it didn’t. You will wonder, how did I make it through the storm? Because God was right there with you, protecting you, sustaining you and leading you towards the future that He planned for you.
As God said, “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, plans to prosper you, and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. Believe in what God says about you. Your current situation may show no sign of a future, but God has a better future planned ahead for you. Hold on to the plans and the thoughts that God has for you. Trials and tribulations of life are temporary, don’t give up. You may feel alone and left out but God says, “for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9.
Cheer up, and rejoice in the Lord. Be courageous, and confident in the Lord. And in whatever circumstances you find yourself in be thankful. Be encouraged, that the Lord God is always right there with you and He continues to protect you with His rod, leading you with His staff and sustaining you with His blessings. You’ve got a comforter, a helper, and a friend. You are never alone, God is always with you.
“Though he falls, he shall not utterly cast down, for the Lor grasps his hand in support and upholds him.” Psalm 37:24
