Even Now ...
“But even
now I know that whatever you ask God, God will give you.”- John 11:22
Are you currently in a
situation where you feel you can never turn things around on your own? The
problems that you are bearing on your shoulders are so heavy on you that make
you feel like you are all alone. Then, the story of Lazarus in the Bible can
give you the hope that you need.
In John 11, Jesus received news that His
friend Lazarus was unwell. However, He got delayed in the process. And by the
time He arrived, Lazarus was dead four days long. He had already been buried.
Martha came up to Him and said, ‘Lord, if you had been here, my brother would
not have died. But even now I know that whatever you ask God,
God will give you.’
Martha was still
heartbroken, grieving the death of her brother she thought her situation was
all done. There was no way of turning things around. But her second statement
is what expressed her faith in God. “But even now I know that whatever you ask
God, God will give you.” Like Martha, you may feel let down and
disappointed by how life has been unfair towards you. You may feel like you
don’t have any strength left in you to move on, no more hope for the future, or
no faith to believe again.
Be encouraged, that even now God will turn your situation
around. Your spirit may be weak, but even
now God will renew your strength. You may be going through financial
crisis, problems in relationships, problems at your job or in your health.
Instead of being feeling hopeless look up to God and renew your mindset. You
may say, ‘God, I may be going through financial problems right now, but even now I know you are prospering me;
business may be slow, but even now I
know you are bringing new clients my way; my health is not looking good, but even now God I know you are restoring my
health.’
We are encouraged to
always look up to God for help. It is important that we cultivate even now faith into our lives. Often, we
have trained our mind to always see the hurt, pain, the disappointment, or the
lack. I am not suggesting that we ignore the pain; the problem is dwelling on
them for so long. It is crucial that we renew our minds to always see and
acknowledge the Might Hand of God and the power that He holds and what He can
do when we come to Him.
It is that kind of even now faith that enabled Abraham and
Sarah to have a baby at their old age. You too can develop that even now faith when you believe in God.
No matter the obstacles that you are up against, know that even now God can turn things around in your favor. It is never too
late to ask God for help, He’s more than willing to help you. His arms are open
wide ready to embrace you. God has got great love for you and me. It’s my
prayers that you will always look up to Him in all circumstances with an even now faith. Be Blessed!
If you
want to step into the fullness of your destiny, see the greatness of God’s
favor and have this even now faith when it looks impossible. – Joel Osteen
