You are not Alone

"I will never leave you nor forsake you" - Hebrew 13:5

What do you do when you suddenly become lonely; when you are used to be in groups of people and for some reasons you are not there with them but just by yourself, lonely? There are a lot of reasons that may result to loneliness in your life. When going through lose, or friends forsaking you because of your current circumstance, or loneliness could be work related. But what do you do when you find yourself in such a circle of loneliness?

Quite often, when one feels lonely, you tend to be by yourself in a corner feeling sorry for yourself. You alienate yourself from the rest of the world. When you find yourself in such circumstance of loneliness, remember that you are never alone, God is right there close to you. Friends may forsake you; your colleagues may forsake you; and those close to you may also forsake you. But God will always be by your side.

When you are lonely, God is the friend to call and He’ll be your friend. When you feel empty God is the friend to call upon and He will comfort you. And when you feel lost, God is the friend to call upon and He will show you the way. He is faithful to His word, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Let His word continue to encourage you, comfort you and give you rest whenever you feel like you are lonely and depressed.

Quit feeling sorry for yourself, let joy and peace of the Lord be with you. Whenever you are tempted to be by yourself or lock yourself indoors because you are lonely; go out and help someone who is in need. You do not conquer loneliness by being by yourself; you rise above loneliness by going out and helping someone who is in need of help. There are other people in worse situation than yours; no matter how bad your situation maybe it is never that worse.

It is my prayer that when life pushes you into circles of loneliness, you won’t stay there and feel sorry fory ourself but quickly run to God and give you His peace and joy. He is your helper, your true friend, and your comforter. May you also be quick to offer a helping hand whenever such circumstance present itself.

Life will not always be fair, and when it is unfair to you, know that you are not alone God is right there with you because He will never leave you nor forsake you. Be blessed!

  “But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. ” – Psalm 13:5 Psalm 13 is one of the shortest psalms of David, and yet a powerful one. In this psalm, three times he asks, ‘ How long? ’ indicating a phase of deep distress and abandonment in his life. He begins this psalm by asking God, “ How long, LORD? Will you forget me forever?
