God is thinking Good about You

“For I know the thoughts and plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

Has anyone ever surprised you with a gift, kind words or simple act of service? How did it make you feel? Of course, things like these gives you joy, and uplifts your spirit especially when you know that someone was really thinking about you. I like to surprise my wife with gifts and sometimes with simple acts of service to express my love for her and to show that I’ve been thinking about her. And when I do it, it touches her in a special way and it gives her more joy.

If we can do amazing things to our loved ones, family and friends; how much more can our Heavenly Father do for us? In the same way, God wants to surprise us with His goodness, His mercy and favor even when we least expect it. He said, “For I know the thoughts and plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11). When God is thinking about you, He’s not thinking about the mistakes you did last time, or what you did wrong, or what you didn’t do. No. When God is thinking about you, He’s thinking about ways to make your life better, He’s thinking about ways He can surprise you with His goodness and ways He can express His love for you.

Because you are alive today, God still remembers you and He has good thoughts and plans for you today. Let that sink in. I know I can go about my business knowing there’s God up in Heaven who is thinking about me. Forget the lies you’ve been told that God doesn’t care about you or that He’s forgotten about you. No. The truth is He cares for you more than you can ever imagine. And He wants to do great things through you and more than will to help you when you are stuck or facing a difficulty.

Let it be part of your lifestyle to expect God’s sudden surprise of His goodness. Have that expectancy in your heart knowing that somehow, someway, He’ll show up in a bigger and better way that surprises your mind. Don’t get so lost in your work that you don’t even realize what God is doing in your life and that you become so ungrateful. Be open to receive and to acknowledge the power of God that is working in your life each and every day. And remember to show gratitude for all that God does for you. May your day be full of God’s goodness and may your heart be full of joy and thanksgiving. Be blessed!
